ZIL-5301 Clutch Release Drive
ZIL vehicles and buses use a hydraulic clutch drive with a pneumatic booster.
As a rule, the pneumatic-hydraulic booster (PGU) is disassembled for repair in the following cases:
Thermostat with solid filler, two-valve, type TS-107-04, is located in the outlet pipe of the cylinder head and is connected by hoses to the coolant pump and radiator
Disassembling and repairing the ZIL-5301 clutch master cylinder
To disassemble the clutch master cylinder, secure it in a vice and remove the pusher 4 together with the rubber boot 2

Diesel control is remote, from the driver's seat. The installation of instruments and controls of the diesel engine is carried out by the consumer when installing the diesel engine on the vehicle
When removing the clutch from the vehicle, it is necessary to disconnect the clutch release drive. This work can be performed both with and without disconnecting the pipelines
The final drive can be adjusted or repaired without removing the rear axle from the vehicle
