Replacing the GAZ-3110 fan belt
Loosen the belt tension (not shown in the photo), to do this, loosen the tightening of nut 1 and adjusting bolt 2 and turn bracket 3 with tension roller 4 to the engine cylinder block
The frequency of changing the oil and filter element is 60 thousand km, but not less than every two years of vehicle operation
The engine is in-line four-cylinder, equipped with an integrated microprocessor fuel injection and ignition control system (KMSUD)
In cold weather, the GAZ-3110 engine starts easily, but stalls, and only after several attempts to start it starts to work stably
Engine starts long:
- Gasoline has evaporated from the carburetor float chamber (after a long parking, especially in hot weather)
Removal and installation of the ZMZ-402 cylinder head of the GAZ-3110
If an oil leak through the oil pan gasket cannot be eliminated by tightening its mounting bolts, it means that the gasket is severely deformed and must be replaced
If the seal of the gasket is broken, exhaust gases break out, accompanied by a characteristic sound (the collector “slashes”)
