It is recommended to disassemble the engine in the following order:
Replacement of chains and gears of the gas distribution mechanism ZMZ 406 GAZ-2705
You will need: a 6-point hex key, 12-point, 13-point, 14-point sockets, a small chisel, a hammer

The engines are in-line four-cylinder, equipped with carburetors and a contactless ignition system.
Replacing wheel bearings and axle cuffs
Release the handbrake by placing stops under the front wheels
The cylinder block is cast from gray cast iron and is made in the form of a monoblock with the crankcase part lowered below the axis of the crankshaft
The steering mechanism is installed on the left side member and secured through a bracket with bolts and nuts
