The steering gear is removed for repair (we recommend repairing the mechanism in a specialized workshop) or replacement

To protect the front wheel wells of the car from dirt, plastic mudguards consisting of two parts are installed
Prepare the car and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery
The airbag control unit circuit has an emergency power reserve
The controller is the central device of the engine management system
The spring-hydraulic tensioner is removed for replacement when it fails, as well as when replacing parts of the timing drive and cylinder head
You will need: 13 mm, 17 mm, 27 mm wrenches, and a lug wrench.
Disconnect the front propeller shaft from the front axle gearbox (see "Removing and lubricating the Niva propeller shaft").
The main dimensions of the connecting rod and piston group are shown in Figure 1
The piston is cast aluminum
